Kathmandu, Nepal

I am a software engineer and applied ML researcher. At Niural AI I architect globally scalable backend systems — serverless and relational, event-driven and multi-region — and design AI-augmented services, including LLM-driven automation, that keep reliability, cost, and extensibility at the core. Previously, I led a backend engineering team at Khalti, one of Nepal’s largest payment platforms, where I also drove R&D on fraud analytics and OCR-based KYC.

My research interests sit at the intersection of machine learning and large-scale systems: computer vision, document understanding, and the engineering required to run models reliably in production. My work on facial recognition distance metrics was published in the Journal of Science and Technology (doi:10.3126/jost.v4i2.78952).

I also supervise final-year AI/ML capstone projects at Herald College Kathmandu and mentor at IT Students of Nepal, Nepal’s largest tech community. I am currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications at Purbanchal University, and I hold a BSc (Hons) in Computing from London Metropolitan University (First Class Honours, 3.86/4.00).
